Essential Agreements/ Class Room Rules

Making Essential agreement with your students is vital.
Let students tell YOU what they think the agreements should be.
The student feel like the art room is their own and they should take care of it.

Essential Agreements

ALWAYS TRY YOUR BEST

·        BE RESPECTFUL IN the classroom-
o   Wait your turn. Put your hands up to speak
o   Stay on task and work quietly
o   Manners- ALWAYS say Please, Thank you, Excuse me, Your welcome and May I
o   Stop, Look and Listen to the person speaking
o   Stay in my seat
o   Talk quietly
o   Line up quietly

·        BE RESPECTFUL OF your art room –
o   Clean up your mess
o   Pick up pieces of paper or materials from the floor
o   Clean up tables
o   Be mindful of the classroom displays- we work hard to do them
o   We draw on our books not on tables, stools or walls

·        BE RESPECTFUL of your Materials-
o   Put things back where they belong
o   Don’t waste
o   Reuse and Recycle
o   Pile your books at the end of the class
o   Always push your stools in
o   Clean up materials used
o   Use the materials in the proper manner. Keep materials clean.
o   Do not break and destroy materials

·        BE RESPECTFUL of your classmates-
o   Care for others, their feelings, their property
o   Remember to share
o   Help each other and give positive feedback

·        BE RESPECTFUL of your teacher-
o   Listen carefully
o   Respect the teacher
o   Don’t be afraid to ask questions

o   Ask for help if you need it
